Why Telecommuting Became Redundant During the COVID‐19 Pandemic?

This paper reveals the facts that necessitated telecommuting in 'new normal' virtual work environment. is a cross-sectional study with sample of executive-level employees working banking sector. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMC). The findings reveal success during COVID-19 pandemic depends on nature family responsibility, environment, training, and self-management affected, while work-life balance (WLB) not significant. decision-makers need to implement psychological skills-based training for managers, employees, members, provide incentives handle difficulties encountered situation. present proposes formulating long-term policy can successfully align new normal conditions. should encompass fundamental rights under career development, welfare workers. To date, previous studies are based advantages traditional telecommuting. However, this considers employees’ perception pandemic; thus, fills empirical gap research condition.
